Town house reformation

Reformation of a stone town house

Reformation of a stone town house

OVERVIEW

The project involved the complete internal renovation of the building, transforming the distribution of spaces and re-organising the internal and external circulation. The new kitchen and openings onto the courtyard garden create a new connection with the external spaces. Pivoting doors on the upper level enable the two upper floors to be used together or independently. The interesting existing features, such as a large bread oven (the building was once the town bakery), rock-cut wells, ironwork and terracotta tiling have been kept, and new concrete and solid timber floors laid.
